Most Americans are in a tough place right now. In the middle of a period of financial struggle it can be hard to stop and look at what God is doing. But, even in the midst of the uncertainty, He is there! Just as He promised, He is working the situation out for your good. Most of the ways He is doing that are hidden for now, but here are a few things you can look for when the prospects seem bleak:

“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7

God offers peace to those who cast their burdens on Him. He is not a God who is far removed or too lofty to be concerned with His subjects. He loves to hear your troubles like a good parent loves to hear of their children’s troubles. Is it because He doesn’t know what is going on your life? Of course not. But telling Him helps so much. He wants you to cast your cares on Him so He can sustain you. And when you do, He will give you a peace that even you cannot understand in light of the circumstances.
