Do you know how many times Israel complained in the wilderness? More than you or I could count. But God did not forsake them. He corrected them, and He disciplined them, but He did not leave them or cast them away from His presence. That is the God who is your help if you are a Christian. He is patient and forgiving. That is our hope. He has promised you eternal life, and nothing you do can change that promise if it is yours. Do you want to find happiness today? Think about who is your Help and Hope.

“Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.” Proverbs 3:13

Wisdom will bring you happiness. Guess where wisdom is found? In Jesus Christ. In Him “are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge” (Colossians 2:3). So as you seek for Christ you will find wisdom, and as you seek for wisdom you will find Christ. This search and the treasures you will find along the way will bring you happiness. So, if you want happiness as a Christian, seek for wisdom in Christ through God’s Word – you will not be disappointed.

“He that handleth a matter wisely shall find good: and whoso trusteth in the LORD, happy is he.” Proverbs 16:20

Trust is such a beautiful word, yet one we understand so little. There is a peace and rest in trust, a resigning of cares to another. When you trust the Lord you do not have to carry your burdens alone. You do not have to resort to cunning and deception. Trusting the Lord brings relief and rest. If you are seeking for happiness, bring your burdens to God, and leave them with Him. The relief will bring a smile to your heart.
