| I used to work in a place that
had a catch phrase, ‘never underestimate the power
of a cup of tea’. In truth it could be any drink -
it was more about never underestimating the
importance of stopping and spending a few extra
moments with someone. Hearing their stories,
listening to their joy or pain. I believe this
captures something of God’s heart. He longs to see
the outsiders welcomed by our communities - after
all, we were once outsiders to His kingdom; now we
are welcomed in as friends. I would encourage you
today to look out for the moments when you can stop
a little while longer and engage with someone - see
where God leads you. |

| Today's Prayer |
 |
| Father, I thank you - that through Jesus - you
have welcomed me into your family. I thank you that hospitality and
placing the outsiders in community is your heart. Help me to see
like you do today. Give me wisdom. Give me courage as I reach out
in your name. Amen |
