| I love the word of God and I love wrestling with theology. I love to chat over coffee with friends about some of the major parts of scripture. Having said all of this, sometimes we just need practical advice to get us through the day. Here is one of those verses. A three part verse that gives us a rhythm for the trials of life. We are to submit to God, like a soldier to his commander. We resist the devil by having faith in our commander, humbly praying to him with heavenly wisdom. By doing so, Satan will flee from us. Next time you are facing a hard situation or you feel tempted -- pray to God, submit yourself to his lordship, pray with humble faith and heavenly wisdom, and see what happens. |

 |
| Father of lights, you are king of grace and glory. I praise your name. Jesus - in this moment I make you my Lord and my Savior. You are the one true king of my life. I will choose to live in humble faith and prayer today. Reveal your heavenly wisdom in my life - by the way I live, bless and speak to others. Holy Spirit, comfort me today. I choose to stand against pride and fear and choose Jesus’ love and grace. Amen |
