| I don’t know if you know this, but God loves to restore people. Have you noticed? He looks to redeem that which has been rejected. Scan your way through the canon of scripture and let the Holy Spirit guide you to the names and stories of people that God redeems and restores. He enables them to be part of the redemption story that is ultimately finished in Jesus. Think of Adam, of Jacob, of Leah, of Joseph, of Moses, of Gideon, of Paul, of Peter…the list goes on and on. The amazing good news of Jesus is that it includes us. Spend some time thanking God for this truth and confess anything that is getting in the way of the relationship Jesus died to restore. |

| Dear Lord God and Father, thank you for the truths I have read today. You are the God who restores. You are the God who redeems. You are the God who forgives and who heals. Thank you for the finished work of the Cross. Today, teach me to live in the goodness of these truths. Holy Spirit, lead me in your ways; bring to mind things that need to be dealt with. Jesus, may you be glorified in my life. Amen |
