| Did you ever make a fort/base as a child? Perhaps you have a club or set of rules to be able to enter your fort? I remember feeling safe and secure in our fort; it was place to run to, a place to call home. I believe this simple picture from many of our childhoods is exactly what this verse is pointing to. Our password is Jesus and he gives access to the presence of God, which is our place of safety. Our place of rest. Our place of grace. Today, I would encourage you to take a moment or more to rest in God’s presence - let Him love you and let that love be your strong tower. |

| Father God, I thank you for Jesus. I thank you that through His finished work of the cross, I have access to your presence. I thank you that Jesus did all that was needed to restore my relationship with you. Holy Spirit, I ask that as I make space for you today - you would fill me with your grace and mercy. May I feel your love and grace today. May I know I am safe in your arms today as I lean on your grace. In Jesus’ precious name, Amen |
