| The affection that Paul encourages here is that of a well-functioning family unit. One that encourages and resources each other. One that sees past imperfections and chooses to love anyway. One that communicates well and deals with issues that hinder the love of the family. Paul is calling us all to love one another in this same way. This bond of love will hold any church together no matter what problems come from outside or within. We are called to love this way within our church communities and also allow others to love us today. I know there will be people praying for you today. The Holy Spirit will be prompting others in your fellowship to pray for you. Be encouraged and live in the goodness of this love and fellowship with others. |

| Dear Lord God & Father, I thank you for my church community. I thank you for its leaders. I thank you for its history, it’s now and its future. I thank you Jesus that you are the head of the church and love your bride. Help us as a church community to grow in love for each other. May this love show that we are your disciples and draw many to your good news of salvation. Holy Spirit, lead us in all truth. Amen |
