| Do you get tired of waiting? Have you been so excited by something that you simply cannot wait any longer?! Just like a child at Christmas; we are desperate for that day to come. Sometimes this can be a good thing, other times we can be so eager for the next thing we are really excited about -- we can miss the ‘now’ moments. Sometimes we hurry past the in-between moments that matter most. The writers in scripture often call us back to slowing down and waiting on God. A different sort of waiting -- waiting intentionally to see what God will do. We are called to wait for His presence and follow His command. It is an invitation into relationships with the God of all grace. How are you going to wait on God today? |

| Father, I thank you that I have hope in you. I ask that you would teach me to wait for you -- to put time aside, like Jesus did, and seek you. To hear your voice and then act on your calling to love and minister to this. May Jesus’ words: ’I only do what I see the Father doing,’ be my mantra as I wait for you and your goodness. For your glory, I ask. Amen |
