Today's Bible Study |
I am always looking for ways to help others worship and praise our amazing God; I stumbled on this method a while back and I hope it encourages you today. The idea is to use this verse as a start and end to a liturgical rhythm in your own prayer lives. This verse was part of David’s Psalm of Thanksgiving. A refrain that David used in many Psalms, explicitly underpinning many other of his phrases. The idea is to start by saying:
O give thanks unto the lord, for [insert something you are thankful for] for he is good; for his mercy endureth forever -- and then continue to do this until you run out of time or things to be thankful for. I have found that having a framework like this enables me to continue to praise God and actually live out this verse in tangible ways. I hope this model helps you give praise and worship to our Amazing God today.

Today's Prayer |
|
In the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Lord I come to praise your name. From the rising of the sun to the setting of the sun, your name is to be praised. Today, I give thanks unto your [name something], for you are good and your mercy endures forever. Carry on with this model and refrain for a while; see what God does in your time of worship today. Amen |
