| This verse can be seen as a massive warning and/or an encouragement; I believe it should be seen as both. Jesus came to fulfil the law and the prophets; as his followers he is encouraging us to value the whole cannon of scripture, not just the New Testament. He is showing us that the Old Covenant points to him and should be used to do so. We are all teachers of God’s word as we share what God gives us. We are to share the good news of Jesus through the whole of scripture. We can show that the law ultimately pointed to Jesus and led others into His salvation plan. Today, be encouraged to share your story and the things you are learning from His word to others.

| Holy Spirit, living breath of God -- show me how to share your words with others today. Give me a love form all of scripture. Give me a love of sharing this teaching with others. May I live in grace and mercy today. May I bring your kingdom near to others today. Blessed be your glory Jesus. Amen |
