| We all have good days and bad days, don’t we? We all have soaring highs and plummeting lows throughout our lives. Life can be hard. One character in the Bible who can relate to many of the things we face is, Job. He had it all and it was taken from him. Even in the midst of such pain and turmoil, though, he utters one of the most glorious prophecies about the coming Messiah in the whole cannon of the Old Testament. He declares that His redeemer lives and one day he will stand with him. What a statement! What an understanding of God he was giving in that moment. We have a more complete revelation of God through Jesus than Job ever had. We can agree with Job’s declaration that we truly know our redeemer lives and we will stand with Him on the last days. | Jesus, I thank you that you are my redeemer. I thank you that you are seated at the right hand of the Father interceding for me. I thank you for this promise. I thank you that no matter what I face today and in the days to come, I can know that you live and reign with God in the power of the Holy Spirit. I thank you that today is a day of salvation and grace because you are on the throne. Teach me your ways and show me your glory today, I ask. Amen
