Today's Bible Study
Paul is again writing to the Corinthians. He says in 2 Corinthians 1:8: For we would not, brethren, have you ignorant of our trouble which came to us in Asia.

But, rather than wallowing in self-pity, Paul uses this ordeal as an opportunity to praise God and to encourage the church at Corinth.

Jesus warned his disciples in John 15:18-20 that the world would hate them because it first hated Him. Paul’s life testifies to the truth of Jesus’ warning.

Read today’s verse again. Do you see the pattern? Paul encouraged his fellow believers by declaring: God saved us, He will save us now and will continue to save us.

What a wonderful truth. He delivered, He does deliver, and He will deliver.

Today, let these words of truth encourage you in your prayer and action. Ask the Holy Spirit to remind you of a time when God delivered you or is still delivering you. Let those reminders fuel your praise and worship as you seek Him again to deliver you and others today.
Today's Prayer
Father, You know me. You know the situations I am facing. Remind me today of Your faithfulness in times gone by. Remind me of the work You continue to do and help me look forward to what You will do. Help me remember You are the same yesterday, today, and forever. I ask this through Jesus. Amen.

Yesterday's Bible Verse
"For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars."
2 Chronicles 16:9 King James Version (KJV)

Yesterday's Bible Study
There is a great lie in the world that states if there is a god, then he or she probably wound up the world and then left it alone to run its natural course.

The lie goes on to claim that if a god did create the universe, then he/she really isn’t much interested in it.

However, the good news of Jesus is the exact opposite. Yes, we affirm that there is a Creator. This Creator is actively involved in His creation.

One needs to look no further than the first few chapters of Genesis to see God’s profound interest in His creation.

God “walked in the garden in the cool of the day” where Adam and Eve lived (Genesis 3:8). God made coats of skins to cover Adam and Eve’s nakedness (Genesis 3:21). He confronted Cain after he had killed his brother, Abel (Genesis 4:9). God spoke with Noah and revealed His plan to destroy the earth’s inhabitants with a flood. (Genesis 6:13).

I love knowing that even today God’s eyes run to and fro, watching over His world, looking for those whose hearts are for Him.

Today, rest in the knowledge that Your Father in heaven loves you, watches over you, and is eager to see how you will live and respond to this truth.
Yesterday's Prayer
Father of creation, thank You for your gift of life. Thank You for the truth that You are a God who loves and works in His creation. I thank You that You are with me right now at this moment. Please make Yourself real to me today. I ask for Jesus’ glory. Amen.
