"Saving faith is not just believing that Jesus lived and died. Faith that saves is the confident, continuous confession of total dependence on, and trust in Jesus Christ to meet the requirements on your behalf to give you entrance into God's Eternal Kingdom. Evening Prayer

Today's Evening Prayer

Dear Lord, when I think about the cross, I am speechless. There are no words to describe what you did for me, and there are no words that will adequately praise you for it. Lord, I thank you that the cross showed your power to the world once and for all. You are God over everything—including death. When Jesus rose from the grave, you broke the chains of generations of sin. Thank you, Lord, that even if the world may see the cross as foolishness, I can call it my salvation. In Jesus' name, amen.
